New Spring Classes!
-Knitting I, 2 weeks, Thursday 7:00-9:00 pm, 4/8 & 4/15, $55
Age 15 and up. Learn the basics of knitting in two classes. Left-handed knitting will be taught to left-handed class members. Materials included.
-Sewing I, 3 weeks, Tuesday 6:30-9:00 pm, 4/6-4/20, $90 + $10 materials
For complete beginners age 15 and up. Learn basic cutting, sewing, and pattern-reading skills by making a pair of pajama pants. Bring your own non-stretch cotton fabric, or choose from the Studio’s fabric stock (with materials fee). Patterns and other supplies provided.
-Sewing II, 4 weeks, Tuesday 6:30-9:30 pm, 5/4-5/25, $140 + $10 materials
For beginning to intermediate students age 15 and up or those who haven’t sewn in quite a while. Learn machine-sewing skills (or further develop your skills) by making a purse or tote bag. Patterns will be provided; materials fee gives you access to the Studio’s stock of fabric and supplies.
-Sewing III: Dresses, 4 weeks, Wednesday 6:30-9:30 pm, 4/14-5/5, $140
For intermediate students age 15 and up; prerequisite Sewing I, II, private lessons, or equivalent. Bring in the simple dress pattern of your choice and get help with the tricky parts. We will go over a variety of techniques as they come up, including facings, zipper installation, gathering, darts, and hems. Please be prepared to do some sewing at home between classes depending on your skill level and the complexity of your pattern. Students provide their own materials; contact Kristin for pattern recommendations if you need ideas!

Craft & Sew Studio will begin accepting VISA and Mastercard on March 22, 2010.
We can take credit card payments by phone and in person at that time and in April look for Lesson Pack payment processing by credit card here on the website.

Please come visit me in the 7 Cities Crafters booth at the Virginia Beach Spring Craft Market from March 19th-21st at the Virginia Beach Convention Center (aka the Pavilion)! I’ll be there selling aprons and tote bags along with many other fabulous craftspeople. The show hours are Friday and Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 10-5 and admission is $6 (kids under 12 free).
