is a time for you to come in and make some headway on your sewing projects (in relative peace and quiet, in the company of other stitchers) and get help and advice on tricky steps.  Kristin will be available to help up to four students at a time during these sessions, and access to the sewing machines and tools is included.  You may bring in any sewing project you like, or even multiple projects, and you may come in for 1, 2, or 3 hours at a time.  Take advantage of the Studio’s big cutting tables, easily accessible machines and supplies, and resident sewing expert.  Sometimes you just need to get away from the distractions of home to get things done!

If you haven’t taken classes or lessons at Craft & Sew Studio before, email Kristin at kristin@craftandsewstudio.com to set up a one-hour private lesson ($25) for sewing machine orientation.

Email openstudio@craftandsewstudio.com to request a spot.  24 hours beforehand, you will receive an email confirming your spot.  Be there on time so no one else steals it! 

Or take your chances and drop in if you’re in the neighborhood.  Just be aware that Open Studio may be cancelled or shortened due to lack of sign-ups, so you may want to check the website first.

If you do not show up and you have not cancelled by 24 hours before your reserved time, your Studio Pack will be debited 1 hour.

Open Studio Rules & fine print...

-Open Studio slots may be reserved by emailing openstudio@craftandsewstudio.com.  Each session is limited to 4 students maximum per hour slot.  Reservations may be made in one-hour increments, starting at the top of each hour.  Reservations may be made for up to the full 3 hours of Studio time.

-Open Studio is only available to students who have had some experience at Craft & Sew Studio before.  If you have not worked with us before and are interested in attending Open Studio, please contact Kristin (kristin@craftandsewstudio.com) to arrange a 1-hour private lesson/machine orientation to get you started.

-Studio Pack purchasers receive reservation priority over pay-per-session students.  No-shows will draw down on Studio pack balance if reservation is not cancelled 24 hours in advance. 

-Pay-per-session students may request spots but they are not guaranteed.  Pay-per-session spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  If you request a spot, availability will be confirmed by email 24 hours before your studio time.  (Studio Pack purchasers may also drop in on a first-come, first-served basis if they wish—reservations are not required.) 

-Open Studio may be cancelled or shortened if there are fewer than 2 reservations per hour.  In the event of a cancellation, written notice will be emailed to students holding reservations and will be posted on the website in advance of the Open Studio time.
